Chandra Kurt combines her passion for the wine world by writing, consulting and authoring books and magazines worldwide.

Chandra Kurt, based in Zurich, is one of Switzerland’s foremost wine writers, authoring more than twenty books on wine, including Wine Tales; Chasselas – From Féchy to Dézaley; and the yearly guide Weinseller. She studied political science at the Universities of Zurich and Lausanne and at the Institute of Masters of Wine in London.Chandra contributes about wine for various publications and she launched the wine magazine Weinseller Journal in 2015.

An international wine consultant, with clients including Swiss International Air Lines, she has been awarded the Goldene Rebschere, the Commandeur de l’Ordre des Vins Vaudois and the Ehrenrebstock der Heidazunft and she is a member of the Circle of Wine Writers in London, the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne and the Confrérie du Guillon.
Chandra was born 1968 in Sri Lanka, to an Italian mother and a Swiss father. She spent her childhood in Asia, where her parents were exploring the life of Elephants for the Smithsonian Institution.
